IMRt Masterclass | Risk & Reliability Management; Managing Potential Conflicts of Interest
Event description
Risk and Reliability Management in an AI-Driven World
Balancing technology, trust, and human experience in modern asset management.
As artificial intelligence rapidly integrates into maintenance and asset management systems, it’s transforming how decisions are made - and who makes them. But with that transformation comes new risks, responsibilities, and questions of trust.
Join Clive Moore as he explores how AI is influencing risk and reliability management in today’s data-driven environment. While AI-driven tools promise smarter, faster maintenance decisions, they can also challenge long-held expertise. Imagine a highly skilled tradesperson - with decades of experience keeping a plant running safely and reliably - being issued an AI-generated work order that contradicts what they know works. How should that conflict be managed? Who is accountable if the AI is wrong?
This session delves into the risk management implications of AI, the human challenges of technological disruption, and the need for open dialogue within asset management teams. Clive will discuss how to harness AI as a valuable tool while preserving human insight, experience, and judgment - the true cornerstones of reliability.
