Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The Australian Standard on Root Cause Analysis, AS/NZS IEC 62740:2016, defines RCA to be any systematic process that identifies the cause or causes that contribute to a focus event. The immediate or obvious cause of a focus event is often a symptom of underlying causes and may not truly identify the root cause or causes that should be identified and addressed. RCA provides a greater understanding about why events have occurred.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is intelligence—perceiving, synthesizing, and inferring information—demonstrated by machines, as opposed to intelligence displayed by non-human animals and humans. Recent advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) particularly Generative Pre-trained Transformers like Chat GPT4 are creating truly revolutionary changes in the way work will be done in the future.
Using AI as a brainstorming tool for Root Cause Analysis has numerous benefits. One is its ability to generate creative ideas quickly and easily, allowing you to more rapidly consider a broad range of ideas and not constrained by local experiences.
In this event Bill Holmes, CEO of RCA Rt will be reviewing some of the recent developments in AI, how it may be a powerful new tool and also some of its weaknesses. It is a rapidly emerging, potentially disruptive technology. Bill will be showing how it can be integrated into Root Cause Analysis and how it can be used to build cause and effects trees. His presentation will include a demonstration of how it is used in RCA2GO software.
Please join us to see how RCA2Go utilises AI in the Root Cause Analysis process and how it can help you in you problem solving activities
We look forward to seeing you there.
