Automation Roundtable with Expert Presenters!

Automation is absolutely key to Industry being more competitive and flexible. However there are significant issues and complexity in automating and delivering automation with the need to adapt in this complex and ever changing world. Come hear from presenters with genuine real world knowledge and experience on this topic. As an online roundtable, you can join for the whole session or only for presentations that take interest, you can come and go as you please! As SIRF Roundtables we will provide our trademark opportunity for round table discussion between presentations with using breakout rooms.

This roundtable is a chance to learn and share on Automation. A chance to share best practice with others and also learn from others. The subjects cover topics related to Automation including technologies involved, and challenges around implementing, managing and supporting aspects around these.



John Broadbent - Director – Realise Potential

    Presenting on the Secret Sauce for Industry 4.0, the challenges of integration with automation – how do you integrate and integrate well ! with a light approach that is low cost, low risk and delivers the result. John has over 44 years’ experience in manufacturing starting his journey in Dec 1975. The last 20 years have been dedicated to helping manufacturers of all sizes utilise smart factory concepts, so he’s seen first-hand the positive change these investments have made, both on profitability, longevity, sustainability and culture. In more recent times he’s become somewhat of an Industry 4.0 evangelist, and his passion and experience are valued by manufacturers across various sectors. John also presents educational keynotes and workshop to companies, industry bodies and educational institutions such as universities. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Engineering at University of Technology, Sydney, specifically responsible for industry liaison for smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0."

        Sharing on the approach to Automation at Nissan casting and particularly on the topic and process of deciding what is appropriate automation. From full automation to hybrid – cobots to what is appropriate and needed to be done by humans and why.

Roundtable Events like this one are where we get our name from, and they are organised around a topic or theme. Several speakers will present for between 20 and 45 minutes, with a time period for questions. During the event our expert facilitators will also conduct short roundtable discussions on different aspects or parts of the topic/theme throughout the day.
