IMW On Demand - Relaunch Event
Event description
IMW On Demand was developed by Winyama, an Indigenous owned and operated Geospatial and Cloud company, and the pioneer of the Indigenous Mapping Workshop initiative in Australia.
Just like our in-person Indigenous Mapping Workshops (IMWs), IMW On Demand offers culturally appropriate and inclusive training in geospatial technologies for Indigenous leadership, agencies, communities, and individuals. The difference? All of the training is available completely online. IMW On Demand has content suitable for learners of all technical abilities and offers workshop sessions on Google Earth, QGIS, Data Foundations, and now - Drones!
Launched in 2020, when we were unable to host in-person workshops, IMW On Demand has passed through its initial phase. In early 2023, we recognised areas for improvement and embarked on a journey of refinement. After a year of dedicated efforts, we're thrilled to unveil the enhanced IMW On Demand experience, with a renewed focus on user satisfaction and online engagement.
Whether you're a seasoned IMW On Demand learner or eager to become one, we extend a warm invitation to our online IMW On Demand relaunch event. Join us as we showcase our platform updates and a new course stream (come meet our drone trainer!). We’ll share insights into new support channels, exciting new opportunities and more!
