Women for Election is committed to sharing the stories of women who lead with purpose, experience, and deep community connection — and Perin Davey’s journey is a unique and inspiring one.
Perin Davey represented New South Wales in the Senate from 2019 to 2025 as a member of the National Party. During her time in Parliament, she served as the Nationals’ Senate Whip before being elected Deputy Leader of the Nationals in 2022, a role she held until 2025. Before entering politics, Perin built a varied career spanning journalism, agriculture, corporate affairs, and service as an Army reservist.
Join Licia Heath, CEO of Women for Election, as she speaks with Perin about her time in Federal Parliament, her experiences as Deputy Leader, and the insights she has gained about leadership, representation, and the future of women in politics.
