In this unique panel, hear from exhibiting artist Avital Sheffer in conversation with Paul Donnelly, Deputy Director of the Chau Chak Wing Museum, and GRG Curator Professor Pedram Khosronejad, about the enduring influence, artistic practice, and legacy, or renowned Australian ceramicist Alan Peascod.
Alan Peascod (1943 - 2007) was one of Australia's most influential ceramicists. Renowned for his fascination with lustre and Islamic ceramics, he possessed a capacity that was intellectually and technically rigorous, inquisitive, and experimental.
Avital Sheffer, in her exhibition ATEMPORAL, presents recent work created as both a homage to, and conversation, with the late Alan Peascod. and as a continuation of dialogue with her ancestry.
