About the We Saw What You Started:

Three deadly fires. One suspect. Too many secrets.

Otto was a star surfer back in California, but now he just wants a fresh start. When fires break out in Red Sands, the locals are suspicious. It's no coincidence that Otto's at the scene every time. Is it?

Milly isn't so sure. Small town talk isn't always right - that's why she has to work so hard to beat her 'perfect' brother and become captain of the surf lifesaving club. What if the new boy is innocent?

Can Otto and Milly trust each other to find the truth behind the fires? And what happens when you do the wrong things for the right reasons?

A fiery whodunit, a thriller of surf and sea; We Saw What You Started is a suspenseful exploration of loyalty, family and friendship.

About the Carla Salmon:

Carla Salmon is an author, teacher and marketing professional who loves living in Brisbane.

Now, she is thrilled to combine her experience in communication and education industries as an author, driven to share her passion for great story telling with young readers and writers. Her debut Young Adult Mystery We Saw What You Started is inspired by her country coastal childhood, where sports ruled and beach campsites were paradise. Relatable characters with heart, humour and action-packed lives navigate her stories, much like the students in her classrooms today.

When Carla's not at school talking books with teachers and librarians, she loves following her husband and two teenage children on sun-seeking adventures.

About Eleanor Jones Is Playing With Fire:

Eleanor Jones stirs up more mystery and danger in this fast-paced YA mystery.

Eleanor Jones isn’t looking for trouble.

But someone is starting fires in Cooinda – and the first one looks like a murder. Eleanor is determined not to get involved, but when she receives a note warning her to ‘keep quiet’ she can’t help but work out who sent it.

Who had motive to murder Eleanor’s neighbour? Could it really be one of her classmates? And are the fires connected to the car thefts in town? The more Eleanor tries to do the right thing, the more danger she finds herself in . . .

Her debut Young Adult novel Eleanor Jones is not a Murderer won the 2024 Davitt Award for Best Crime Novel; was a CBCA 2024 notable; and was shortlisted for both the 2024 ABIA Awards Books of the Year for Older Readers, and for the 2024 Davitt Awards Best Debut Crime Novel.
