In Conversation with Dr Daniel Solomon
Description
You are warmly invited to join us for In Conversation with Dr Daniel Solomon, the inaugural webinar in our new series Voices From the Holy Land.
Dr Daniel Solomon is an attending surgeon at one of Israel’s public hospitals, specializing in surgical oncology. Since 2011, he has volunteered with Physicians for Human Rights Israel, working in both its open clinic and mobile clinic in the occupied West Bank to provide medical care to undocumented and underserved patients in Israel and Palestine. Since 2021, he has served on the organisation’s board of directors.
Following the events of October 7, Dr. Solomon has focused extensively on documenting detention conditions and access to healthcare for Palestinians detained from Gaza and the West Bank. Working on behalf of families, he has observed autopsies of prisoners who died in detention and has contributed to the documentation and reporting of alleged torture and ill-treatment cases. Since 2024, he has also been a member of the forensic team of the Public Committee Against Torture in Israel.
