WIFT NZ is delighted to welcome Oscar and BAFTA-winning costume designer Kate Hawley.
Kate’s body of work speaks for itself. She’s another fantastic story of a career that started at home in Aotearoa and went global, including working closely with one of Hollywood’s most revered directors, Guillermo del Toro. Some of her credits include Mortal Engines, Suicide Squad and The Rings of Power.
This year, she won the Academy Award and BAFTA for Best Costume Design for Del Toro's Frankenstein.
We’ll pick her brain (not in a Frankenstein way) about her career, her craft, and what it takes to build a whole world out of fabric, dye and attention to detail.
