Meet our speakers: 

Emma Lucas (graduate of Masters of Speech Pathology, UTS) is a Speech Pathologist. 

Emma started out studying Social and Political Science at UTS, then worked full-time at the uni before deciding to pivot into a more meaningful career. After enrolling in the Master of Speech Pathology, she quickly found her calling in aged care. Now a mobile ‘Speechie’ specialising in swallowing disorders, Emma says returning to uni in her mid-twenties was scary but ultimately life-changing.

“It was the best decision I’ve made and has gifted me a lifelong career.”

Rani Bahho (graduate of Master of Orthoptics, UTS) 

Rani came across orthoptics during a gap year and found the perfect fit. The UTS degree offered hands-on learning, placements, and research opportunities. After graduating, he joined Retina Associates and now leads the relaunch of their dry eye clinic. He’s also preparing to start a PhD on slowing myopia progression.
