In Conversation with the Fellows Part Three
Event description
Learn all about the Young Australians in International Affairs (YAIA) Fellowship Program from the Fellows themselves!
For Part One of the In Conversation with the Fellows events, participants will get to hear from the following Fellows:
- Africa Fellow - Edward Aitken
- Middle East Fellow - Annaliese Hawkins
- Latin America Fellow - Laura Klein
- USA Fellow - Ojasvi Rana
Each Fellow will speak about their experiences in the program, and key regional developments pertaining to their specialty area. These presentations will be followed by an open Q&A session with attendees. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to learn more about the above regions – particularly those that are interested in applying for our biannual Fellowship Program. For those that are most interested in our other Fellowship areas, please check out Parts One and Two of our In Conversation with the Fellows events.
What is the Fellowship Program?
Our Fellowship Program was launched in January 2015, aimed at promoting the voices of young people in Australia’s foreign policy. The program is designed to attract young Australians, especially those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, who are skilled in research and analysis, have a desire to learn more about issues in international affairs, and have a demonstrated interest in the Fellowship area to which they apply. Over 6 months, Fellows research and contribute articles to be published online by Young Australians in International Affairs on our blog, Insights.
Applications for our January-June 2025 round are open now! Learn more at our website.
