In Conversation with the Fellows - Part Two
Event description
Learn all about the Young Australians in International Affairs (YAIA) Fellowship Program from the Fellows themselves!
For Part Two of the In Conversation with the Fellows events, participants will get to hear from the following Fellows:
- Australian Foreign Policy - Grace McClenahan
- East Asia - Yige Xu
- Indo Pacific - Isha Desai
- South Pacific - Katherine Flint
Each Fellow will speak about their experiences in the program, and key regional developments pertaining to their specialty area. These presentations will be followed by an open Q&A session with attendees. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to learn more about the above regions – particularly those that are interested in applying for our biannual Fellowship Program. For those most interested in our other fellowship areas (Africa, Europe and Eurasia, Latin America, Middle East and USA), please register for our In Conversation with the Fellows - Part One event.
What is the Fellowship Program?
Our Fellowship Program was launched in January 2015, aimed at promoting the voices of young people in Australia’s foreign policy. The program is designed to attract young Australians, especially those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, who are skilled in research and analysis, have a desire to learn more about issues in international affairs, and have a demonstrated interest in the Fellowship area to which they apply. Over 6 months, Fellows research and contribute articles to be published online by Young Australians in International Affairs on our blog, Insights.
Applications for our next Fellowship round will open at the end of May, following our In Conversation event series.
