Mitch Wallis, Founder of Heart On My Sleeve

Mitch Wallis is a serial well-being entrepreneur. He is the founder of Heart On My Sleeve - a leading global mental health movement and services provider. He is the author of “Real Conversations” - a mental health training curriculum that’s been distributed to hundreds of thousands of people across the world. He is the creator of “Real Mates” - an innovative peer support program with hundreds of accredited mental health representatives in workplaces across Australia. He is also the founder of Calm Water - a relaxation drink company that relieves stress and anxiety.

Mitch is a leader in the mental health space with a lifelong mission to empower others to feel understood, overcome suffering and reimagine the healing potential of the mind through the power of storytelling, connection and living with authenticity. Mitch devotes himself fulltime to helping solve the single biggest issue facing his generation – mental health. He is one of the most recognisable mental health speakers in Australia and abroad, having delivered keynotes to tens of thousands of people in the last few years. 

He was appointed the first ever ambassador for the Australia & New Zealand Mental Health association, and has been named a Westfield Local Hero in their annual awards. He holds several board and advisory positions – including SuperFriend and the Corporate Mental Health Alliance of Australia. He has been an expert advisor to the United Nations on the topic of youth mental health. 

A bit about Heart On My Sleeve

Heart On My Sleeve (HOMS) is an emotional wellness social movement and early intervention services provider for adults suffering with mental ill health or facing challenging life situations (either directly or as a supporter) that helps people heal by being real about how they feel through the power of true connection.

The companies main audience consists of individuals and corporate organisations by which they deliver a range of offerings including education programs, peer support services, inspirational storytelling, behavioural change campaigns & community awareness . 

Their mission or the reason they exist is to help people cope with painful emotions and their vision is to create a more ‘real’ society where every person in the world has the opportunity to safely and effectively express their mental health and feel understood without judgement. Where vulnerability and authenticity move from being aspirational values to everyday role modelled behaviours to create a more human communities & workplaces. 

The organisations structure is a not-for-profit registered charity with DGR1 status based in Sydney Australia but operates globally. With their funding coming from a mixture of donations and fee-for-service revenue.
