(IN)VISIBLE Research to Reality Workshop

This practical and interactive workshop will explore the implications for third sector organisations of the Voluntary Health Scotland (IN)VISIBLE research into the relationship between sex, gender, and health.

A summary of the key relevant findings of the research will be shared with participants before panellists from a range of gender specialisms will share practical guidance on what third sector organisations can do to address gender-related health inequalities for both their workforce and for those communities they engage with. This includes guidance on supporting women to prioritise their health and overcome misogyny, providing allyship for trans and non-binary people experiencing stigma and discrimination in the health system, and supporting men to seek help for their mental health.

Participants will then have the opportunity to ask questions to all speakers on particular issues or scenarios.
