Incident Response Fundamentals Workshop with Retrospect Labs (SA NODE)

Together, Jason and Shannon from Retrospect Labs will be facilitating a workshop on Incident Response Fundamentals, equipping you to support your business when it’s needed most. This session will be interactive discussion and will leave you feeling confident to know best practises when it comes to responding to a cyber attack. 

Recognising the importance of incident response readiness, and the need to prepare and train incident responders for all kinds of incidents Retrospect Labs are delivering a presentation on the fundamentals of incident response. We’ll cover off a number of introductory incident response concepts – taking a look at methodologies and approaches to incident response, the basics of incident response plans, the need to maintain operational security, actor TTPs, frameworks like NIST and Mitre ATT&CK, some of the common tools used during incident response operations, the importance of good case management, and remediation activities. If you’re not familiar with incident response and want to learn more about it (and how to do it well!) then come along!
