SPEAKER -Â Lisa Dodd, Accredited Keyword Sign Language Teacher
Lisa has been passionately involved in using sign language for the past 23 years. This journey began when her son, Cameron, was born with Down syndrome. From the very beginning, she recognised the importance of communication, and sign language became a vital tool in their lives. Over the years, Lisa and her two daughters have become fluent in sign language, allowing them to connect with Cameron in a deeply meaningful way from a very young age.
For more than two decades, Lisa have dedicated herself to teaching sign language to others, sharing the power of this communication method. Lisa is a trained Key Word Sign presenter, specializing in making communication accessible and effective for individuals with diverse needs. Additionally, Lisa is an Auslan (Australian Sign Language) tutor, helping others learn and embrace this beautiful language. Lisa's work in this field is not just a profession but a personal mission to enhance communication and inclusion for all.
