Special Disability Trusts - Duncan Legal

Join us for an empowering workshop led by Duncan Legal, where we will delve into the world of Disability Trusts and the vital role they play in securing the financial future and well-being of individuals with disabilities. In this workshop, you will gain invaluable insights into the purpose, benefits, and intricacies of Disability Trusts, also known as Special Needs Trusts, and how they can be utilised to protect the assets and interests of individuals with disabilities without jeopardising their eligibility for government benefits.

Led by our experienced legal professionals at Duncan Legal, you will learn about the different types of Disability Trusts, the legal requirements for establishing and managing a trust, key considerations for selecting trustees and beneficiaries, as well as strategies for maximizing the long-term financial security and quality of life for your loved one with special needs.

SPEAKERS: Margaret Duncan – Principal Lawyer & Lee Smart – Practice Manager

With a Master's Degrees in Law, Bioethics and the Arts, it’s Margaret’s life experience that sets her apart and makes her truly unique. As a mother of three, and understanding the challenges of raising a special needs child with autism, Margaret’s sensitivity and dedication to provide peace of mind for her clients is the driving force behind Duncan Legal. Naturally, her approach comes from a place of deep understanding, care and compassion.

Duncan Legal’s clientele includes blended families, same-sex couples, persons who are recently separated or divorced and families caring for a vulnerable family

member. Margaret guides, empowers and mobilises people to plan for, or to adjust to life changes affecting their legal status and decision-making capacity.
