Inclusionary Zoning: Making it Work in Charlottesville Webinar, presented by Livable Cville
Description
Charlottesville’s new zoning code has a new inclusionary zoning requirement that would increase the city’s supply of affordable housing in many new developments. When designed well, inclusionary zoning can be a tool to improve housing access; however, when designed poorly it can create barriers to all kinds of housing. This webinar will help us improve our understanding of strategies to make inclusionary zoning work well, and we’ll make time for Q&A from the audience.

Kellie Brown, Director of Neighborhood Development Services with the city, will share what Charlottesville is doing to improve housing opportunities through a range of housing programs and policies, including the development of an affordable housing tax abatement program.
