About the workshop

Whether it is a one-off event, small or large scale event - you can elevate your event-planning, delivery and accessibility!

This is a face-to-face workshop and 2 hours in length.

Workshop focus

This workshop focuses on practical considerations for planning and delivering truly inclusive events. With a focus on accessibility and inclusion, this session supports you to plan, develop and deliver a successful event where all people feel welcomed and included.

Learning outcomes

Gain an understanding of the theoretical frameworks behind inclusive event planning, emphasising accessibility and genuine inclusivity principles.
Develop the ability to assess venues, programs, and logistics through an inclusive lens, identifying potential barriers and areas for improvement.
Learn to plan actionable strategies and tools to plan, develop, and execute inclusive events tailored to diverse audiences, irrespective of the event's size or nature.
Learn techniques to engage stakeholders, including participants, vendors, and partners, in fostering a culture of inclusivity and accessibility throughout the event lifecycle.

Education is always a big part of our work, as we seek to ensure all individuals, groups and organisations have the skills and understanding to embrace people of all backgrounds and strengthen the foundations of their communities. We understand that all those we work with, will be at a different point in their journey, and we work alongside them, on ways that meet them where they are at, no matter where they are at.

Inclusion Solutions is committed to supporting and building communities to ensure they have the skills and capacity to become vibrant, well-connected, and socially inclusive, now and into the future. For over 30 years, we have supported local governments, state and national sporting associations, businesses, and local clubs and community groups, through a range of projects and activities to help develop inclusive communities that are welcoming of people with disabilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, among other marginalised groups.

At Inclusion Solutions, we are relationship builders. We understand the importance of establishing a strong foundation with community members and stakeholders in all our projects and seek to always operate from a position of trust. We are a small but diverse team, dedicated to change making.
