Workshop 1 will take participants through a series of 3 interactive modules:

Module 1: Introduction to becoming an inclusive workplace for volunteers.

This module will allow participants to:

● Gain an understanding of the spectrum of disabilities and the competencies and strengths people can bring.

● Begin to assess what changes they may need to make in their workplace to be inclusive.

Module 2: Preparing for an Inclusive Workplace

    Completing this module participants will:

    ● Understand what an inclusive workplace looks like and be able to identify broadly what needs to change in their business.

    ● Be able to articulate the types of disabilities which lend themselves to the work / vacancies they have.

Module 3: Actioning Your Inclusive Workplace

Participants will commence preparing their Disability Volunteering Action Plan and map out:

      • The supports they can access
      • Opportunities they can offer
      • Supports required for those opportunities
      • Extending your opportunities to other groups who are excluded.

By the end of the workshop participants will come away with:

      1. 1. Their draft Volunteering Inclusion Plan
      2. 2. Opportunities scoped for volunteers

They will then test their plan with their organisation and spend time developing:

      • Role descriptions
      • Marketing plan for opportunities
      • Workforce training plan

Workshop 2 (3 hours in duration - date & time TBC at first workshop): Please note Workshop 2 can only be attended by those who have completed Workshop 1 in full.

Participants will present their finalised Inclusive Volunteering plan, marketing plan and workforce training plan to their colleagues.
