Inclusive Workplaces

What do we mean intersectionality and how does it relate to diversity and inclusion? Isn’t all just new ways of saying the same thing? Terms like intersectional lens or framework may sound like the latest fad and yet another thing to do, but we are here to help you through it.

In this 2 hour workshop we will guide you through what is meant by intersectionality and how it makes your diversity and inclusion work even more effective – both for a thriving organisation and you as an individual.

Our facilitators will explain the key terms in this work before guiding you through an unconscious bias activity.  We will take a look at a snapshot of diversity within Victorian public sector, then take part in a group discussion activity identifying the barriers to being an inclusive workplace. Next, we will identify the steps needed to become more inclusive. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to reflect, not only as part of an organisation, but as an individual, on blind spots in our inclusivity practice and how we can improve.
