Entry instructions

The workshop is held in the Butterbox Theatre at the Kingston Butter Factory. This is on the ground level of the building. Follow the path from the carpark to the front automatic doors. Enter through these doors to access the box office/foyer. The business has the following amenities/systems in place for entry: • A drop off point close to the entrance • A path of access to the building is slip resistance and even • A path of access to the building is clear of obstruction • Self opening entry doors or fitted with a self closer • Glass doors are fitted with a visual sighting strip • Door jams/doors are of a contrasting colour to surrounding walls • Door handles are of a contrasting colour to the door • Signage is written in a contrasting colour • Signage is written in a Sans Serif font and use upper and lower case letters • The entry door is a minimum of 850mm wide • The entry door has self opening or a light opening pressure (for manual operations) • The entrance sill is less than 13mm • There a clear space of at least 1500mm x 1500mm in front of all doors. • The entrance door mats have a thickness less than 13mm and a width of 7500mm or greater

After entry instructions

After entering through the automatic doors you will be in the box office/foyer area. Turn right after the box office and head to the black doors with the words 'Butterbox Theatre' above. Inside this room is a theatre. The stage has no steps so can be accessed without hazards. There will be chairs in this room where you can sit.

Hazards

Steps have the following amenities in place (if encountered) • There are steps. • All steps or staircases have enclosed risers • The underside of all staircases are enclosed or protected to a height of at least 2 metres • Handrails fitted to all open sets of steps • Handrails extend 300mm beyond the top and bottom step • Where steps are present are there three steps or less A lift is provided. All fixed stair cases have fitted hand rails however the removeable seating in the theatre does not have handrails. We do have accessible seating that is flat floor for people who can't manage stairs that do not have hand rails.

Accessible toilets are located directly down a corridor straight in front of the box office.
