Indigenerd with Nizhoni

Indigenerd is a community gathering space for nerds, dreamers, and storytellers preparing for Star Wars Celebration Los Angeles 2027 — and beyond. Rooted at The Chapter House, this program explores the powerful connections between Indigenous worldviews and the stories that shape modern fandom: Star Wars, X-Men, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and more.

With a special emphasis on Star Wars, Indigenerd invites us to ask bigger questions:
What does the Force look like through Indigenous lenses?
How do rebellion, kinship, prophecy, land, and lineage show up in the stories we love?
How can we show up to fandom spaces grounded in culture, community, and joy?

Each session will feature presentations, discussions, creative workshops, and space to connect with fellow nerds. This space is for everyone — Indigenous folks, Star Wars girlies, fantasy heads, sci-fi lovers, and allies who are ready to listen and learn.

Come build community. Come geek out. Come imagine Indigenous futures in a galaxy far, far away!!!

May the Force be with you.
