Location: Kids Club, Level 2 near Toyworld.
Join us at Southland this NAIDOC week as we celebrate the 2025 theme "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy" with art workshops facilitated by Merindah-Gunya herself. Participants will be immersed in the ancient tradition of storytelling, learning Aboriginal symbols creating their own masterpiece.
About the Artist: Merindah-Gunya
Bayley Mifsud is a proud Kirrae and Peek Wurrong woman of the Gunditjmara nation.
Her Aboriginal and Art name is Merindah-Gunya meaning “Beautiful Spirit” in Peek Wurrong language, gifted to her through ceremony by her parents and Elders. Practicing and sharing her culture through art and storytelling is incredibly special to her.
