Indigenous Grasses Workshop

Join Britt Silvester for a gentle, hands-on workshop creating butterfly seed balls with Indigenous seeds of local grasses that will grow into the host plants our butterflies need.

In this tactile and playful process, we'll shape small spheres of possibility, each one carrying the promise of colour, movement, and life.

Designed for all ages, this workshop invites children and adults alike to Connect with Country and care for Country by supporting local pollinators and ecosystems.

By scattering the seed bombs in gardens or overlooked spaces, the participants will take part in a quiet act of care, encouraging regeneration, biodiversity, and the soft rewilding of place.

Britt Silvester is a contemporary artist known for creative works that draw deep inspiration from the natural world and Indigenous cultural heritage. She is a multi-dimensional sculptural artist based in Torquay Wadawurrung Country Victoria, with proud Yorta Yorta ancestry, and her practice often reflects a strong connection to land, sea and storytelling.
