Creating Home through Host arrangements
A host arrangement is when a person with disability lives in the home of a host. Hosts can be a single person, a couple, or a family. By living together, the person with disability becomes part of the hosts’ home, relationships, and community, while the host also becomes part of the person's life. The host offers friendship, companionship, and some day-to-day support. The host may receive a payment to help cover the costs of providing a home and support.
Join this webinar to hear practical insights into what matters when setting up a host arrangement, including building trust, matching well, and keeping the person at the centre
