Indoor plants for indoor health
Description
A potted plant can look pretty, but did you know that it can do much more? Indoor plants remove toxic chemicals from the air you breathe. These chemicals ‘out-gas’ from carpets, furniture, paints, cleaning products and other people (not from you, of course!): Indoors is often more polluted than outdoors! Presented by Scott Hitchins from Werribee Park Heritage Orchard.
Please note that this is an event for Naarm/Melbourne gardeners only. If you live outside this area, please contact your council to find out what free sustainable gardening events are available locally.
Accessibility: If you have any access or support questions or requirements in order to participate fully (eg. interpreter), please let us know at least two weeks prior to the event and we will be pleased to assist you.
This My Smart Garden event is proudly presented by Brimbank City Council on the land of Wurundjeri and Boon Wurung peoples of the Kulin nation. My Smart Garden pays our respect to Elders past and present and acknowledges that First Nations peoples have cared for Country sustainably for tens of thousands of years.
