Purpose:
The RDA Mid North Coast and Charles Sturt University are working together to study the skills needs on the Mid North Coast. The team are interested in understanding where there are gaps for the region, in what skill sets, and what the future needs are for industries to be sustainable in the long term.
Objectives:
The key objective of this project is to address the following research questions:
- What data exists on the skills currently available in the MNC region
- Which skills are required by businesses and industries in the MNC region now and into the future?
- Is there a gap between the skills available and the skills required in the MNC region?
- What are the barriers and facilitators to skills attraction and retention across the MNC region?
- What training and development resources are needed to develop skill capacity locally?
- What are the future skill needs for the MNC region?
