With Adelaide being recognised as a burgeoning hub for Australia's space manufacturing industry, now is the time to learn about the opportunities that will arise in the Defence, Space and Cyber industry. This event will provide a detailed look into the industry as we hear from two powerhouse speakers, the Hon. Susan Close, Minister for Defence and Space, and Flavia Tata Nardini, co-founder and CEO of Fleet Space Technologies.

About our speakers:

Hon. Susan Close

Susan Close is the Deputy Premier of South Australia and the Minister for Climate, Environment and Water; Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science; and Minister for Defence and Space Industries. Before entering parliament, Susan was an executive in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and played a key role in the establishment of the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary as a community advocate. Susan is a fierce advocate for women in the workplace, passionate about ensuring accessible and quality education for all, deeply concerned about protecting nature, and driven to deliver the best economic outcomes for South Australia so everyone can benefit from a prosperous future for our state.

Flavia Tata Nardini

Flavia Tata Nardini is the co-founder and CEO of one of Australia’s most exciting space start-ups Fleet Space Technologies. A real-life rocket scientist, former propulsion test engineer at the European Space Agency and holder of two patents, Flavia has worked across a broad range of innovative space projects, from micropropulsion systems for CubeSats to space debris removal systems, experience that directly informs Fleet’s rapid growth. Fleet launched their end-to-end passive mineral exploration solution ExoSphere earlier this year, which is enabling the discovery of critical minerals at the speed of light. Flavia has also recently added Mission Chair of the 7Sisters Moon Mission to her achievements, Australia’s mission of discovery for Earth, the Moon and Mars.

Refund policy

General Cancellation Policy Tickets are non refundable. If you are unable to attend an event, a replacement attendee may be sent in your place at no extra charge. Notification must be made in writing to info@showcasesa.com.au, dietary requirements may not be able to be catered for for late replacements. Showcase SA will endeavour to conduct every event it advertises. However we reserve the right to postpone an event to an alternative date or to cancel an event. Covid-19 Cancellation Policy Those with the first suite of tickets will be unaffected by all stages of Covid restriction other than full cancellation. In the case of being required to self-isolate due to Covid-19 risk, a Government enforced lockdown or a hard border closure; You must notify in writing to - info@showcasesa.com.au that you are unable to attend. You will then be transferred to a Virtual Attendance ticket. Covid-19 Cancellation Policy due to government enforced lockdown The event will be live-screened in any event. If government restrictions force an online only event, all tickets will be transferred to a Virtual Attendance ticket. Postponed When an event is postponed, attendees will be transferred to the new date. If this makes them unable to attend then a full refund will be made provided Showcase SA is notified within seven (7) full working days of the announcement of the new date. After that, normal Cancellation Policy will apply. Cancelled If the event is cancelled a full refund will be made.
