Event description

What do we mean when we talk about a more equitable aid sector?

The University of Melbourne Master of Development Studies Program and Humanitarian Advisory Group invite you to a moderated panel discussion on (in)equality in the aid sector.

The seminar will provide a space for development and humanitarian experts to discuss how the sector can shift to a more equitable and localised system. It will be framed within the larger global picture, with #aidtoo and the Black Lives Matter protests forcing the aid and development sector to reflect on its own process of de-colonisation.

Moderator:

Chrisanta Muli - CEO, Onegirl

Panelists:

Bethia Burgess - PhD Candidate / Social Researcher

Suman Ahsanul Islam - Adviser, inSights

Rohan Kent - Program Manager, International SOS

Pamela Combinido - Consultant

We hope to see you there!
