Inflorescence Music takes over Angel Music Bar

We're throwing our first full venue takeover of Angel Music Bar this Saturday April 19 and we've got a special one lined up. The bartenders at Angel Music Bar have even made us a signature cocktail for the evening, tequila lovers this one's for you!

We absolutely cannot wait to party with you this Saturday night.

Brother Julian (DJ set)

Kicking off the night upstairs is Disco man Brother Julian. label boss at Disco Lion, 1/2 of Mondo Ritmo and one of Melbournes finest disco producers, Brother Julian is deeply embedded in the underground House and Disco Scene. With releases on The Disco Express, Plastik People Digital and Super Spicy Records to name a few, his back catalogue is full of absolute dance floor gems that will be sure to get you grooving and keep the vibes high. We are so excited for Julian to join us on the decks upstairs.

Julian Joseph (Live/Hybrid)

Singer, producer, DJ and audio engineer, Julian Joseph lives and breathes music. Julian’s productions are testament to this, a multifaceted artist with a back catalogue ranging from House/disco, to jazz,  hip-hop and techno, safe to say he’s not one to be pigeonholed. If you’ve seen him perform as one half of live duo Hausm8s, you’ll know his sets are nothing but fun and we can’t wait to hear a special live/hybrid set this Saturday. 

Hugo Brown + Daffaduck and WCKT KPR (LIve)

After releasing his debut jazz house album ‘Full Circle’ earlier this year, Hugo will be performing his a fully live set featuring album collaborators Daffaduck on saxophone and WCKT KPR on bass. With a deep selection of unreleased productions, ranging from deep jazzy house, disco and prog house straight from the early 2000's, Hugo will be dismantling his studio and bringing it all down to Angel Music Bar this Saturday.

Floss Dogg is one of our FAVOURITE DJs in Melbourne, steez is the only word we can think to describe Floss's presence behind the decks. Effortlessly blending genres, Floss can take you on a ride like no one else and we're lucky to have her behind the decks for 4 hours downstairs. Founder of Primer and a staple across lineups in Melbourne, we're in safe hands with Floss Dogg starting off the night for us. 

Frizzy McGuire

Frizzy McGuire is one of Melbournes most loved and in demand DJs for a reason. Her ability to connect with the crowd is telepathic and her energy infectious! Professionalising in Balearic beat, 80s pop, synth rock, electro & Nu beat, Nu disco, Italo funk & jazzz. Multiple stunning years of collecting sounds, Frizzy’s library of unheard dance bangers, will without a doubt leave a “No Result” on your attempted Shazam’s, coupla shin splints & a big happy smile on ya face. A set you most definitely don’t want to miss.

Daffaduck

Jazz saxophonist, producer and DJ Daffaduck is one of the most musicians in Melbourne. Playing every week at some of your favourite jazz nights in Melbourne, Daffaduck is best known for sending you with his mesmerising sax lines. After joining Hugo upstairs, Daffa's coming downstairs to hold it down for the last 2 hours, sending you off with his fine selections of deep, jazzy house. You'll want to stay until close for this one.
