The 18th century mystic Emanuel Swedenborg wrote that divine love and wisdom are flowing into us all the time. Not only that, but his writings offer great detail into how this inflow is happening in our psyches and how we can connect and open ourselves more fully to it. But what does that actually feel like?

Inflow is a weekend workshop designed to help you find out.

Through talks, guided meditation, journaling, and small-group conversation, we’ll explore Swedenborg’s concepts of the inner and outer self—not as ideas to analyze, but as a living reality to step into. As part of this, we’ll explore the lived experience of our inner multiplicity—learning to relate to the different parts of ourselves with curiosity and care, informed by the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model and its resonance with Swedenborg’s understanding of the inner life.

Whether you’re new to Swedenborg, already at home in his ideas, curious about Internal Family Systems, or looking for a more embodied and experiential way to experience spirituality, this weekend offers a space to explore.

This is a fully all-inclusive retreat. All meals are provided from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. Please note any dietary restrictions when you register.

Your facilitator:

Chelsea Rose Odhner is the Vice President of Publishing at the Swedenborg Foundation and a lifelong student of Emanuel Swedenborg’s spiritual teachings. Her work focuses on helping make Swedenborg’s insights into the inner life accessible and meaningful for contemporary seekers.

Chelsea is a certified coach (ICF Associate Certified Coach) and a Level 2 trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner. Her facilitation brings together Swedenborg’s spiritual psychology with contemporary approaches to inner work, particularly the IFS model’s understanding of our natural inner multiplicity.

She is co-author of Opening the Inner World: Spiritual Healing, Internal Family Systems, and Emanuel Swedenborg, a book that explores the surprising resonance between Swedenborg’s descriptions of the inner life and this modern therapeutic framework.

Drawing on more than twenty years of practice in yoga, meditation, and spiritual study, Chelsea creates spaces where participants can explore their inner world with curiosity, safety, and openness.

About the Space

This October retreat will be held at a private slopeside townhouse at Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, Vermont—a peaceful, mountain setting.

The three-story end-unit townhouse is tucked into the base of Okemo Mountain, with a step-down living room, wood-burning fireplace, and sliding doors opening onto a deck with direct mountain views. The space comfortably accommodates up to 13 participants across five bedrooms and five full bathrooms.

Guests will have access to a heated indoor/outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a sauna, fitness center, and ping pong room.

October in Vermont is a beautiful time to gather. We may be treated to the tail end of foliage season, with the mountain backdrop at its most vivid.

Accessibility note: The main living area is on the second floor, with the entrance on the ground floor. This space is not wheelchair accessible.

Standard bed spaces are assigned in order of registration. One room has a king bed and one has two twin beds; both of these have an en suite bath. Then there is a room with a queen bed and a shared hall bath. The king and queen rooms can accommodate two spots each.

Bunk Bed - (8 spots) Early Bird: $450 (until August 31) / Standard Rate: $550

Bunk bed spaces are assigned in order of registration. Six spots are in a shared room on the third floor with windows; two are on the ground floor with no windows but only one roommate.
