Influencing Public Policy with Research & Evidence

In collaboration with Australian Council for International Development (ACFID), the Research for International Development Impact Network (RDI Network) is bringing together policymakers and members to network and discuss – how does research influence public policy and decision-making? And how can practitioners, researchers, and academics influence more effectively?  

With an expert panel of policymakers, we will delve into the policymaking world on: 

• how information and evidence land on their desks 
• what influences their decision-making 
• the best and most effective policy brief (that gets read!); and  
• how to get on a policymaker’s radar 

There will also be time to network with a range of policymakers (past and present), including the panellists.  

This event is for international development policymakers, practitioners, academics, researchers, and students interested in ‘lifting the bar’ on evidence-use and influencing policy- and decision-making processes.
