Workshop - Inner Stage: Elevating Youth Potential

19 October - 9:00 - 10:30 am - Currimundi Community Hall

Is your teenager ready to boost their confidence, creativity, and communication abilities? Our Inner Stage: Elevating Youth Potential workshop, designed for 13-15 year olds, offers an immersive experience that equips young performers with real-world skills, using proven methods from leading theatre experts.

In this exciting workshop, your child will learn:

  • Enhanced Communication: Master breath control, articulation, and vocal resonance through Kristin Linklater’s techniques, crucial for effective speaking in any setting.
  • Emotional and Physical Awareness: Engage in activities that foster emotional intelligence and physical mindfulness, essential for self-expression and confidence.
  • Creative Expression: Alex Clifton's actor training method will guide participants in creating authentic characters and telling their own stories through devised performances.

Participants will develop skills that reach far beyond the stage. From improved public speaking to greater emotional awareness, these techniques empower young people to thrive in school, social settings, and future career paths. By the end of the workshop, participants will feel more confident in themselves and their abilities. Our supportive, judgment-free environment allows teens to explore their creative potential, collaborate with others, and build lasting confidence.

This workshop is led by Olivia Smith, a versatile performer with over a decade of experience in music and theatre performance. Currently a placement student with D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective through UniSC, Olivia is expanding her skills as a theatre director and educator. Her workshop integrates empowerment, relaxation, and bodywork to help young people confidently express their truth through their craft.

Sign up today and watch your child grow through the transformative power of theatre!
