An interactive evening where our Innersense Artists demo cutting, coloring, and styling techniques on multiple hair lengths, textures, and patterns. Learn step-by-step techniques and the intention behind each approach.

Day 2: Hands-On Session Monday, May 19th | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM | The Robey, 2018 W North Ave, Chicago, IL 60647
A full-day, hands-on cutting, coloring, and styling session. Discover the synergy between coloring and core cutting techniques. Learn how to tailor each method to craft bespoke, balanced shapes that enhance diverse hair patterns and natural textures. Refine your techniques, explore creative color placements, and elevate your craft with guidance from our expert artists. Choose between the two sessions below:

• Nicole Chateau + Scott Cooper session
  • In this immersive hands-on session, we’ll explore the connection between precision cutting and intentional color placement to create modern, customized styles. Nicole will demonstrate how haircut shape, curl pattern, and movement guide color application, introducing techniques that elevate traditional placements into salon-friendly artistry. She will also showcase bold and dimensional copper and red tones, providing insights into formulation, placement, and customization for maximum vibrancy and longevity.
  • Scott will bring 2025 fashion predictions to life, sharing his intuitive approach to cutting and personalizing trends for real-world wear. His technique allows true creative freedom, adapting effortlessly to different lengths, shapes, and textures. By focusing on weight distribution, movement, and structure, each cut is personalized to suit the individual in the chair, ensuring a bespoke result every time. Attendees will gain mastery in combining structured color with dynamic cuts, ensuring each client receives a look that enhances their individuality with effortless style and confidence.
• JC Dobson + Erin Nelson session
  • In this immersive hands-on session, we’ll explore the synergy between precision cutting and expert color techniques to create modern, customized styles. JC will showcase cross-coloring techniques designed to lift dark natural levels into rich, multidimensional tones with simple yet high-impact formulas, focusing on short to medium-length curls. Attendees will gain insights into formulating for depth, brightness, and longevity while mastering seamless color transitions that enhance natural texture.
  • Erin will focus on cutting techniques for medium-length hair, blending classic shapes with a modern edge to create versatile, effortlessly wearable styles. By refining foundational skills while embracing contemporary trends, stylists will learn how to craft cuts that move fluidly and complement color placement. This session will empower attendees to integrate advanced coloring and cutting techniques into their everyday work, leaving them with the confidence to create personalized, long-lasting looks for every client
