INNOCENT BYSTANDER
Event description
Is self-care an artform? How do we engage with that process? Can our perception be altered by an immersive arts experience which create visceral, three-dimensional experiences which expose the current climate of our eco-systems? Can these experiences stimulate an intrinsic desire to protect and restore life giving environments?
Innocent Bystander is an immersive inter-disciplinary arts experience aimed to stimulate audiences into experiencing alternative ways of viewing both themselves and the environment. To inspire an activism which stems from an intrinsic need to care for ourselves as part of a thriving, ecologically considerate creative community.
Please join us for this container event: art viewing followed by a creative community conversation with Sunshine Coast Ceramicist and Interdisciplinary artist Fiona Cuthbert O’Meara and Barcelona artist, writer, researcher, and educator Dr. Fiona Fell.

DONATIONS: We’re a one of a kind space in the region, a DIY space that's artist funded and run. We provide space and support independent artists to make, create, present and represent the diverse arts ecology of the Sunshine Coast from the coast to the hinterland. All donations go straight into programming, paying the power bill and providing more opportunities for artists to create arts experiences for you, the punter to be apart of. We greatly appreciate any donations and don't hesitate to reach out to find out more about how you can get involved.
ACCESS to LANTANA Space: Unfortunately the main entrance is not easily wheelchair accessible due to a small 20cm step. We are able to facilitate access to the space through the side roller door. We ask any participants who have mobility requirements to specify when purchasing their ticket their access requirements. Please reach out at contact@lantanaspace.com if you have any concerns.
