Join us in Darwin for two curated events designed to spark connection and conversation around the future of innovation in the Northern Territory.

First Light – The Spark That Lights The Flame

These events mark the official re-launch of WINNT and are grounded in a core belief: the future of innovation in the NT is inclusive, community-driven, and led by women collaborating across every sector.

InnovateHER - Innovating the Territory, Together

An intro to Representation, Innovation, and the Power of Collaboration
Each session will explore how visibility, diversity, and collaboration are reshaping innovation in the NT — and ask the real questions:

Who gets to lead?

What needs to shift?

And how do we co-create a future that works for all women in the Northern Territory?

☕️ First Light – Morning Networking ☕️

For women who rise early to build what’s next.
Tuesday 17 June 2025|7:00 AM – 8:30 AM
HILDA The Coffee Society, Darwin City

Your ticket includes entry, hot/cold coffee and light breakfast.

This session opens a Territory-first conversation on visibility, representation, and the role of women across STEAMM fields in shaping innovation. From classrooms to code, paddocks to policy, women are building Territory-first solutions rooted in connection, not competition.

We’ll explore:

  • Why representation drives better outcomes in innovation

  • What collaboration looks like across disciplines, sectors, and generations

  • How Territory-specific innovation is already changing the game

  • What’s missing — and how we create the conditions for more women to thrive

Expect:
Interactive discussions, and the chance to meet others shaping the Territory’s innovation landscape.

Speakers (to be announced) will explore real-world pathways in innovation, business, science, and policy.

Why attend?
Whether you’re in STEM, arts, enterprise, education, government, or just curious — this is your place to connect, reflect, and shape what’s next.

Women's Innovation Network NT (WINNT) – an initiative of Actio Group AU

WINNT is a Territory-first network dedicated to elevating women and girls across STEAM+ subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Agriculture, Aquaculture, Mathematics, Mechanics, and Medicine), enterprise, and innovation.

Our mission is to create a more connected, visible, and inclusive innovation ecosystem in the Northern Territory by championing women and girls.

InnovateHER is WINNT's inaugural launch event — and the first of our monthly First Light and Residual Heat community-building sessions. This event marks the beginning of a movement where women from all walks of life in the Territory can feel they belong in innovation spaces, whether they're working in labs, launching businesses, teaching in remote classrooms, or driving policy and design.
