    Dr. Mayuri Wijayasundara

    Dr. Mayuri Wijayasundara. Director, Anvarta

    Mayuri is a leading expert in strategy and transformation specialising in transition towards a circular economy. She currently leads Anvarta, a consulting practice that helps organisations to transition to a regenerative model. She was engaged as Circular Economy Expert at UN Habitat. 

    Mayuri was a tenured University academic leading multiple research programs in circular economy until 2021 and has authored several research articles. She is a contributor to acclaimed international forums such as World Economic Forum. 

    Prior to that, she was a senior industry practitioner leading program in Asia Pacific, in resource recovery and building material industries. Mayuri obtained her PhD from the University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant of CIMA, UK. She currently holds several board and advisory committee positions in public and private sector, industry bodies and professional organisations.

    Tina

    Tina Perfrement, Business & Industry Experience, City of Greater Geelong

    Tina has worked with businesses and the public sector to improve performance through sustainability, in Australia and the United Kingdom (UK).  Her approach is both strategically driven and practically focused.  This is reflected in her achievements during a career spanning more than 20 years.  

    Tina has been involved with developing markets for sustainable goods and services for most of her career.  At the City of Greater Geelong, she is working on a business support program, which stimulates demand for clean economy solutions and supports local suppliers to respond to this increased demand.  The work has resulted in job creation, skills development, and business expansion outcomes for the Greater Geelong economy.  

    Tina’s work on Procurement for Innovation has been ground-breaking in stimulating the market to develop innovative responses to unmet needs.  This work is now being shared throughout Australia and globally. 

    Tina is on the Board of the Victorian Cleantech Cluster.  She is Deputy Chair of Benefit Geelong. And is a judge for the Geelong Business Excellence Awards.  She has been called on to share her knowledge of market development for sustainable goods and services in Australia, UK, New Zealand, Canada, and Europe.
