WHAT WILL YOU DO?

In this one-day, action-packed program, you’ll explore cutting-edge advancements that are set to change the way we fly. Here’s what to expect:

• Vertical Takeoff & Landing (VTOL) Aircraft: Imagine aircraft that can take off like a helicopter and fly like a plane. You’ll learn about this technology and design your own VTOL concept.
• Low Orbit Space Travel: Get ready for the future of space tourism! Explore how space travel could bring people closer to the stars and design your own low orbit space vehicle.
• Hydrogen-Powered Planes: Discover how aviation is going green! You’ll work on eco-friendly aircraft designs powered by hydrogen, helping to make flying more sustainable.
• Metaverse & AI in Aviation: Explore how the latest technologies like the metaverse and artificial intelligence are changing the flying experience—design futuristic cabin experiences that merge the physical and virtual worlds.

You’ll get hands-on with these real-world challenges, working with a team of fellow aviation enthusiasts to reimagine the future of flying.

• Meet Industry Professionals: Over the two days, you'll have the chance to hear from real aviation experts, including airline pilots, engineers, and operations managers, who will share their career journeys and industry insights.
• Exclusive Tours: Get an inside look at a current aviation training facility and an engineering workshop, where you’ll see firsthand how the professionals train and maintain aircraft.
• Location: This unique program will be hosted at Jandakot Airport, one of Australia’s busiest airfields, giving you a taste of what it’s like to be at the heart of aviation action.

Who is this for?

This program is open to students in Years 7-12 who are interested in aviation and ready for an exciting, hands-on experience.

What do I need to bring?

Just bring yourself, a water bottle, your morning tea and lunch, and if possible, a device to work on. We’ll provide everything else and some take home surprises too!

Do I need prior experience?

No experience is necessary! We welcome all students who are curious and excited about aviation.
