    Dr Mateus Oliveira Silva

    Mateus is a Program Advisor in CSIRO’s SME Connect team and manages the CSIRO SME Strategy. This initiative aims to double the number of SMEs engaging with publicly-funded research to drive innovation in Australia and to make CSIRO an exemplary R&D provider. Mateus’s role assists in facilitating innovation-driven partnerships through funding, training, and resources between Australian SMEs with CSIRO and the research sector, driving research-driven collaboration.

    Poppy Sykes

    Poppy is a human-centred designer, strategist, and startup coach passionate about purpose-driven business. As the new lead of CSIRO's ON Innovation Program, she helps deep tech researchers through the translation journey, providing the skills, networks and knowledge to unlock the full potential of their science. Before joining CSIRO, Poppy ran her own business, supporting startups, non-profits, corporates, and government organisations in building innovation capabilities and bringing sustainable solutions to market.
