That's what happens at Inside the Songhouse.

For one night, award winning songwriter Dan Hannaford opens the door to the workshop where the songs were built. The rough sketches, the wrong turns, the late night revelations. The stories that never make it onto the album sleeve.

Most people know Dan as the guy who has spent nearly two decades turning up, guitar in hand, playing everywhere from packed venues to noisy corners where the music is expected to compete with televisions, poker machines and conversations about tomorrow's races.

This isn't that Dan. This is the songwriter. The craftsman. The observer of people, places and moments.

Inside the Songhouse #3 is not designed to sit politely in the background. It asks you to lean in, to listen differently and to experience songs not as entertainment, but as living things with a history all their own.

The last show sold out, and something unexpected happened. People arrived expecting a performance and left feeling like they'd been invited into a conversation.  Some laughed, some cried and some sat quietly, hearing their own stories reflected back through Dan's.

This next chapter goes further.  More stories. More songs. More of the moments that shaped one of Australia's most respected independent songwriters.

Because great songs don't begin on a stage.  They begin somewhere much smaller. A kitchen table, a long drive home, a heartbreak, a triumph. A conversation nobody else remembers.

Inside the Songhouse is where those moments finally get to tell their side of the story.
