    Event description

Join us for a talk with Y Combinator partner Harj Taggar and Proxy Founder Denis Mars.

Harj Taggar was previously the co-founder & CEO of Triplebyte, a technical skills assessment for software engineers, funded by Y Combinator in 2015. Before that, he joined YC in 2010 as the first non-founding partner. During college he founded Auctomatic, which was funded by YC in 2007 and acquired by Live Current Media in 2008. Harj will cover some of the myths that exist around starting startups and he’ll talk about how YC can help you get started.

Denis is the Co-Founder of Proxy. Proxy is on a mission to create an identity signal for every person on the planet and make it universally accessible, secure, and private. Denis will talk about his founder journey and his YC experience.

Harj and Denis will also spend time answering your questions.

The YC partners work closely with each company to get them into the best possible shape and refine their pitch to investors. Each batch culminates in Demo Day, when the startups present their companies to a carefully selected audience of investors. Y Combinator has invested in over 2,500 companies including Stripe, Airbnb, Instacart, Dropbox, Reddit, Coinbase and Ginkgo Bioworks. The combined valuation of YC companies is over $150B.
