Community Pop-In Sessions

The Shire of Capel is preparing an Integrated Growth Framework Plan (IGFP). The purpose is to ensure future growth outcomes are sustainable, well planned, cohesive and character enhancing. A core focus will be to identify and manage the social, economic and environmental values that make each place unique, including areas where no further growth is anticipated. The Shire is also undertaking a comprehensive review of its 10-year Strategic Community Plan (SCP).

The review kick started in November 2024, with the release of the Customer Perception Survey and Strategic Direction Workshops. Follow up community sessions were also held in February 2025, to focus specifically on local priorities and actions.

How to get involved:

Everyone is invited to come along and provide feedback on progress to date.

The sessions will provide an opportunity for members of the community to view progress to date and provide comments and feedback:

• Draft Integrated Vision Framework
• Draft Masterplan Concepts + Townsite Strategies (Boyanup, Capel and Dalyellup); and
• Draft Locality Strategies (Peppermint Grove Beach and Gelorup)

• 9 April 7:30pm – Capel Community Hall, Capel

Your feedback will ensure local insights and place-specific factors are captured and reflected in both the Integrated Growth Framework Plan and the Strategic Community Plan.
