Event description

Program Overview

This program will help small teams of teachers understand how to align Ochre materials with their school documents. Teams will look at how to plan for their class or grade using prepared materials, including how to integrate these materials with existing school materials. Teachers will consider how to preview and adapt the materials so they are suitable for their school scope and sequence and the needs of their cohorts.

What will I learn about?

  • How to use and adapt pre-prepared materials in the classroom
  • Planning using prepared materials, including ensuring alignment with school materials
  • Using professional judgement to adapt materials so they suit the needs of a class or cohort

The program will be run by Ochre Education leaders Sue Davis with additional support from Ochre’s education team.

Who is it for?

This program is designed for teachers who are keen to develop their understanding of how to review and adapt Ochre materials to suit the needs of their class. Participants can be drawn from across States and Territories and all sectors. This course will draw on Ochre resources to demonstrate key concepts.

How is it structured?

There is two 3 hour virtual workshops (via Zoom) (scheduled during late mornings AEST / early mornings AWST), in which teams will learn about how to preview and adapt Ochre materials to best suit their class. Alongside the virtual workshops, schools have an opportunity to consult with curriculum experts for feedback and next-step problem-solving, conducted as a 30-minute online group coaching session assigned per school.
