Interfaith May 2022
Event description
Theme of the series: Meeting across culture Matters as we wonder about belief-formation
Topic: What is belief? Is forming a belief based on context, culture, history, family or the individual experience?
Presenter: Paul Turley
To reflect upon, Paul notes this: “At our Interfaith Gatherings we talk a lot about what we believe and don’t believe. We talk about the beliefs and creeds of different faiths and we seek to understand something of what these faiths believe and what they means. But what is belief? What does it mean to believe something? What do we mean when we say ‘I believe’ or ‘I don’t believe’?
You are welcome to bring a friend or colleague.

Connecting Culture Matters (sponsored in part by the City of Adelaide)
is a new initiative to support the work of ‘Interfaith Matters’ a forum
dedicated to facilitate diverse faith traditions to explore complementing
belief and spiritual aspects and representing many cultures. Our group is
made up off well-known faith traditions, as well as a rich mix of diverse
faiths introduced by the participants, with the focus of exchanging and
enriching our knowledge with respect, appreciation and anticipation.
