Our intermediate bike maintenance course is led by Joel D’Ercole and includes skills like changing and aligning disc brakes, tuning gears, maintaining the drive chain, replacing spokes, truing wheels, replacing cables and general fault finding and fixing.
Places are limited to six per course and participants are welcome to bring their own bikes to work on, or use one of ours. Classes are at the Bike Hub Nelson workshop, 142 Saxton Road, Saxton Field, Stoke.
This intermediate course is being held from 7pm to 8:30pm on September the 18th & 25th and October the 2nd & 9th (4 Thursday evenings).
A professional bike mechanic, Joel really enjoys helping people to learn repair and maintenance skills.
“It’s lovely to teach something to people that they appreciate. I get a kick out of that and it’s just nice seeing more people on bikes,” he says.
The intermediate course costs $80 and is held over four sessions.
There is a 50% discount available to Community Services Card holders and students, call or text Matt on 027 406 3434 for details.
