Explore and create prints using movable type and vintage presses for 5 sessions.

Date & Time: 5 weekly sessions every Saturday from Saturday 29th July 2023 to Saturday 26th August 2023 10am to 1:00pm (3 hours per session - 15 hours in total)

Location: Bright Press, located in the Village section within Whiteman Park. Enter from Beechboro Rd (via Hepburn Ave) or Drumpellier Dr (formerly Lord St).

This is a perfect extension for those who have previously participated in our Intro to Letterpress workshop and want to continue the exploration of manual typesetting and different printing presses, and print your own projects incl. posters, prints and even stationery. 

Please bring an apron or old shirt you are willing to get ink and dirt on for this printing workshop.

All supplies included.

NB: This workshop requires a minimum of 2 participants to commence.

FAQs

Where is Bright Press?

Bright Press is located within the Village section of Whiteman Park.  You can enter from the Drumpellier Dr/ Lord St and Beechboro Road entrances.  If you are using Google Maps to find us, please type in "Bright Press" as it has been pinned.  The Bright Press building doesn't actually have a street name or number.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We recommend driving to join us at Bright Press, as there is no public transportation into Whiteman Park. There is plenty of parking around the Village section of the park.

What's the refund policy?

We would love for you to join us for the workshop.  But we understand sometimes unexpected circumstances occur, and you are unable to attend the event.  Refunds are available up to 1 day before the event.

Bright Press accepts no liability for death, illness, injury, loss or damage to persons or personal belongings during the course of the event.  Bright Press can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in the services to be provided.
