Dixie Crawford
With over 10,000 followers on LinkedIn and recognised as a Top Voice on the platform, Dixie Crawford is a Barkindji woman who lives and works on Ngunnawal country.
She is the Founder and Managing Director of Nganya, specialising in cross-cultural leadership and the development and implementation of Reconciliation Action Plans with corporate Australian and government agencies.
At Nganya, Dixie leads stakeholder engagement, masterclasses, executive coaching, and the development, implementation and monitoring of Reconciliation Action Plans and First Nations Strategies. She helps her clients get to the heart of their ‘why’ to create an action plan that is purposeful and educational. Highly focused on and driven by an unwavering belief, Dixie knows that the catalyst for a generational change in Aboriginal communities to occur is to spark honest conversations that expand our knowledge and skills, to get to a place of deep understanding and equity.
Dixie is accountable to the people and communities she advocates for; her commitment is to always centre people in conversations about our shared past and future to drive transformational, disruptive and action-driven leadership.
Emily Wurramara
Emily, a Warnindhilyagwa woman originating from Groote Eylandt in the Gulf of Carpentaria, Northern Territory, who grew up between Meanjin (Brisbane) and NT.
Renowned for her mesmerizing and enchanting performances, Emily has garnered widespread acclaim and recognition nationwide. Her debut album, "Milyakburra," received an esteemed ARIA nomination and secured an AIR award.
Emily has been honoured with six Queensland Music Awards and the prestigious AMP Tomorrow Maker award. Beyond her remarkable musical accomplishments, Emily passionately advocates for essential causes, including environmental issues, mental health awareness, and youth suicide prevention. She proudly serves as an ambassador for the First Nations foundation and take3.
Emily's music exquisitely delves into themes of self-acceptance and ancestral lullabies, drawing inspiration from her Indigenous heritage and life experiences. As a gifted storyteller, she effortlessly taps into ancient memories, provoking profound emotions within us all.
