International Men's Day Forum, Darwin 2025
STRONGER TOGETHER: BACKING OUR MEN, YOUNG MEN & BOYS
International Men’s Day (IMD) began in Trinidad and Tobago in 1999 and is observed annually on November 19. While it remains relatively unknown worldwide, it was introduced in Australia in 2003 by Phil Gouldson through the Men’s Health and Wellbeing Association of the ACT, and Australia has since led the way in recognising and celebrating this important day.
The International Men’s Day Forum has been successfully hosted in Darwin since 2020 and is now the largest IMD forum in the country.
For the first time, this impactful event will be held in Canberra on Friday 21 November 2025, bringing together 200 men from business, government, trade, investment, and community sectors for an inspiring day of thought-provoking discussions and networking.
The speaker line up is incredible and includes;

- Guy Newman - Former Olympian and Motivational Speaker
- Ben Gathercole - CEO, Menslink
- Kate Jenkins AO - Chair, Australian Sports Commission
- Master of Ceremonies, Comedian Nathan Powell
This year event will bring together 250 Territory men aged 16 – 80+ attend this event from a range of diverse cultures and industry. The theme for 2025 is: "Stronger Together: Backing Our Men, Young Men & Boys."
