International Packraft Film Festival - Dunedin

Join PRANZ for the Dunedin screening of the International Packrafting Film Festival 2025 

The inaugural International Pack Raft Film Festival is hitting Dunedin on Thursday 17th July. A collection of short adventure films showcasing packrafting on all seven continents, from NZ's West Coast to the world. These epic stories will inspire and demonstrate the potential of these awesome craft on expeditions, explorations and adventures.

This is not only for pack rafters but all paddlers, non-paddlers and the pack raft curious. The stories will inspire the adventurers and explorers among us, For trampers it will open new possibilities for back country travel and show some of the hidden places only accessible by boat. From first descents to scenic lakes, deserts to tundra, impossible drops and mega floods, philosophical thoughts to arduous expeditions this really has it all.

If you love a good story and stunning scenery come and join us to enjoy these awesome films at the South Coast Boardrider's Clubrooms on the Esplanade in St Claire. Use this opportunity to connect with other river folk or check out some of these unique boats in person and share in the excitement of this unique sport. See you there!

Please note that there will be an open bar that supports the Boardriders Club - Bring cash or card.

Profits raised from this film tour will be used by PRANZ to support the Backcountry Trust and their upcoming restoration of Big Bay Hut on the ultra classic Hollyford-Pyke packrafting loop.
